Research, Development, and Demonstration (RD&D)
Public investment in RD&D creates knowledge and networks that drives clean energy and climate-tech innovation. The RD&D portfolio should constantly be refreshed as new opportunities and challenges emerge. With a few important exceptions, RD&D programs and policies should be designed and managed to achieve specific purposes, systematically advancing innovations toward practical application.
David works with clients and partners to analyze RD&D portfolios and to develop new and improved policies and programs. These may be focused efforts to advance specific technological opportunities or technology-agnostic approaches to solve emissions-reduction challenges. He communicates this work to general and target audiences across sectors.
